On behalf of my family we would like to say Thank you very much
for the excellent attention to every detail surrounding my dad’s
funeral.It took a lot of pressure off us during this crazy time due to
your professionalism the funeral went very smoothly. You all were
very kind and respectful. Thank you for making a
difficult day more bearable. Your support was just what we needed
to get through.

We appreciated the time you gave us to discuss options presented to
us for arrangements and all the time and guidance you gave us.
Your kind words helped us through the tough days.

The drive by my dad’s home was especially comforting and the
crematorium was such a beautiful special moment to say our final
goodbyes. I will never forget this time. You brought light and
comfort to me and my family during this very difficult time, and
we are eternally grateful for that. It’s down to you that we able to
get through such an incredibly difficult time, the respect and
genuine concern given to us was so extremely appreciated.

From the first contact and throughout the whole process, the empathy and professionalism are second to none. All our requests were accommodated with ease and although sometimes I knew we were being a pain, we were never made to feel that we were. In six years I had to arrange funerals for my dad, my grandma and my mother and father in law. Every one was different and had other people’s views and opinions to deal with, but every one went ahead without a hitch. Honestly I couldn’t even think of going anywhere else, and I would recommend them to anyone. And if I haven’t said it enough, Thank you Kat, and Thank you Ian and the rest of the team. Also, in keeping with an old tradition ,walking in front of the
hearse past my mothers house was a moving experience and a nice touch.
Even the hearse and limousine to take us to the cemetery were superbly presented.

They accompanied us in our overwhelmingly difficult situation – the loss of our child – from reassuring us of each step of the process, keeping us well informed but without pressure or overload, helping us prepare her funeral in a way that best suited our family at a pace we could manage, enabling her little brother to visit her body and understand what was happening, giving us support on the day to manage her funeral, including choice right up until the last moment as to who would carry the casket, getting to know her through us in such a validating and genuine way, and being a gentle and reassuring presence right up to the final crematorium day. This company showed care compassion and professionalism from start to finish. They made the whole process seamless and personal. The bearers on the day were brilliant in assisting while also encouraging my two daughters in carrying the coffin. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

The google reviews for Kat and her team are spot on and this is what made Dad and I choose Cheddar and District Funeral Directors. We cannot express enough how our whole experience was turned from our darkest day to one of love and celebration of Mum’s wonderful life. Kat was so respectful and dignified, she dealt with things calmly at times we had our tears, she made suggestions we hadn’t even considered and without those we would have regretted not thinking of them. The whole team showed Mum the greatest of dignity. If you are ever in the heart-breaking position of having to find a funeral directors, this company are the one. My Beautiful Kind and clever daughter died at the age of 14. The world of Pain which descended upon us is indescribable. Picking up the phone to these Amazing people (whom i’d never met ) was the Wisest decision that I made during this very Dark time. The care and respect that they showed my daughter and my whole Family was incredible. Nothing was too much trouble and we never felt rushed into any decisions. Advice was freely given when asked for but never forced upon us. This was a journey that I wish for no one but KAT (ask for her) and IAN were beyond Amazing and until the day that I join my Beautiful Girl I will never be able to thank them enough. XXX read less
